“Everything around us has a spiritual meaning, from our jobs, our education, to our life and family.”

Vanessa Morales, United States

Self-reliance does not mean that we can accomplish or obtain anything we want. If we are self-reliant we believe that through the power of Christ, and through our own effort, we can work for the spiritual and practical needs of life. Many people can become more self-reliant. The self-reliance initiative is a tool to help.

In the initiative, much of the work takes place in small groups that combine spiritual principles with practical skills. Groups are focused on one of four areas: employment, education, personal finances, or starting and growing a business.

Self-reliance courses are different than our other classes, in that you come at the start of a session and you attend for 10-12 consecutive weeks. Attending a kickoff meeting will get you into a group.

If you are interested in attending a class on Self Reliance, please fill out this form to receive more information!

In the Self-Reliance area you will find courses that focus on knowledge and skill improvement in three different areas. Each course meets weekly for approximately 90 minutes for 10 to 12 weeks.
